your life is your life
don’t let it be clubbed into dank submission.
be on the watch.
there are ways out.
there is a light somewhere.
it may not be much light but
it beats the darkness.
be on the watch.
the gods will offer you chances.
know them.
take them.
you can’t beat death but
you can beat death in life, sometimes.
and the more often you learn to do it,
the more light there will be.
your life is your life.
know it while you have it.
you are marvelous
the gods wait to delight
in you.-Charles Bukowski-

Hey man, glad to see you've started a blog. I liked the poem. It reminded of one of Marcus Aurelius' sayings in his Meditations:
Book 2, #4
Remember how long you've been putting this off, how many extensions the gods gave you, and you didn't use them. At some point you have to recognize what world it is you belong to; what power rules it and from what source you spring; that there is a limit to the time assigned you, and if you don't use it to free yourself it will be gone and will never return.
Who knew Bukowski had so much in common with a Roman Emperor?
okay, dammit
here's my fucking post.
the rat queen came
to me last night,
in human form, and told me
i was humanity's last hope
and also
to give your blog address
to joey
so that he, too,
may participate in the postings.
he is pissed you didn't
give him the address
yourself.
not really.

and here's a haiku:
if you turn zombie,
know i will not hesitate
to cut off your head.
if you turn Zombie
Know i will make love
to your rotten corpse
